Ukraine says the situation in Lysychansk is “very difficult” amid increased bombardments from Russia. Luhansk governor has accused Russia of using cluster bombs in Lysychansk, seriously injuring civilians. Ukraine says Russia fired nearly 20 missiles from helicopters, targeting Kransopillia and Myropillia communities in Sumy.

Meanwhile, Zelensky has urged the UN to recognise Russia as “terrorist state” and accused Russian President Putin of becoming “a terrorist”. He called for Russia to be expelled from the United Nations. UK PM Boris Johnson has said that Putin would not have started the "crazy, macho" war in Ukraine if he was a woman.
