Serbia’s defense minister says its armed forces are on their highest level of alert as tensions with neighboring Kosovo continue to mount. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic dispatched the country’s army chief to the border on Sunday night, following a wave of blockades and protests by ethnic Serbs living in northern Kosovo. Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008, a move the Serbian government has refused to recognize. Laurent Berstecher explains.
